NO MORE WAGGA Round

Local sporting clubs linking arms to say NO MORE to domestic and family violence

August 2026

In August 2026, DV2650 partnered with the NO MORE initiative, Football Wagga and local sporting clubs to deliver the NO MORE Wagga Round.

The initiative brought players, supporters, club representatives and community organisations together across four days of activity focused on creating safer, more respectful and inclusive sporting environments.

From club workshops through to match-day activations, the NO MORE Wagga Round created opportunities for people to learn, talk, reflect and take practical action to help prevent domestic and family violence.

Creating conversations within clubs

The impact continued beyond the weekend itself.

Henwood Park Football Club shared that the initiative had started conversations within the club about how behaviours can affect others, including behaviours people may not previously have recognised as harmful. Those conversations also extended to the committee, including discussion about how club policy could help create a safer environment for everyone. Men as Allies Feedback_NO More …

Sporting clubs are an important part of community life. By giving clubs practical tools, creating visible moments of solidarity and encouraging conversations about respect and safety, the NO MORE Wagga Round demonstrated how sport can play a role in preventing domestic and family violence.

“What an amazing initiative for the weekend, and has certainly started conversations with the club surrounding how we can be more aware of actions, particularly for some who would not even be aware of how something might sound or feel to others around them. Has also started conversations with people on our committee as to how we can implement things at a policy level to create a safer environment for all.”
