Celebrating Respect

Because everyone deserves a good time

Celebrating Respect is a positive, community-focused campaign from the DV2650 Network that puts one simple idea at the centre of our celebrations: everyone deserves to feel safe, included and respected.

Launching in November 2026, the campaign is part of DV2650’s Men As Allies project and encourages our community to think about the role respect plays when we come together, whether it’s at the races, a Christmas party, a barbecue with friends or a night out.

Celebrating Respect takes a prevention-focused approach. It creates an easy, positive way to start conversations about respectful behaviour and reinforces that looking out for one another should simply be part of having a good time.

Launching this November

Save the date for Celebrating Respect, coming to the Murrumbidgee Turf Club Race Day on Saturday 28 November 2026.

About the Men As Allies Project

The Men as Allies Project is a 12-month community initiative delivered by Wagga Women's Health Centre through DV:2650, supporting men and boys to play a positive role in preventing domestic and family violence in Wagga Wagga.

The project brings together local leaders, sporting clubs, workplaces, schools and community members to learn, collaborate and take meaningful action. Through training, community events and local partnerships, Men as Allies aims to build the skills, confidence and connections needed to create safer, more respectful communities for everyone.
