From 25 November to 10 December 2026, mark the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence under the theme: “UNiTE to End Violence Against Women and Girls: Ensure justice, protect survivors, end impunity.”

Violence against women and girls affects one in three women. It is one of the most pervasive human rights violations worldwide, yet for many survivors, justice remains out of reach.

A full list of local activities during 16 Days Of Activism will be uploaded on this page…..

Opening Vigil + Community Lunch

Join Wagga Women’s Health Centre as we come together to remember, reflect and stand against domestic and family violence.

The opening vigil marks the beginning of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence. White ribbons will represent each woman and child whose life has been taken by domestic and family violence, a reminder of the people behind the numbers, and the families and communities forever changed by their loss.

The vigil offers a shared space to honour their lives, stand alongside victim-survivors and reaffirm our community’s commitment to a future free from violence.

Following the vigil, everyone is warmly invited to stay for a free community lunch, an opportunity to connect, share a meal and support one another.

All are welcome. Attendance and lunch are free, please RSVP below for catering purposes.
